With daily stretches of 13-20 km and the route from Thorsminde to Agger awaits a beautiful overnight stay in glamping shelters by Fjaltring Guesthouse, the Harboøre Center, and Thyborøn Camping. All you have to do is unplug, enjoy the trip and let us take of the practicalities.

DAY 1: THORSMINDE - FJALTRING
- Point of departure: Thorsminde Outdoor
- Distance: 13 km
- Overnight stay: Fjaltring Guesthouse
Your hiking holiday starts in the morning at Thorsminde Outdoor where you can buy alle required equipment for the trip, should you need anything more.
From there you will set out on a beautiful hike along Jutland’s West Coast where you can choose between hiking along the country road, the beach, or swop between the two en route.
After app. 10 km, you will reach Tuskær, Culinary Arts & Culture Centre, where you may want to make a stop. Here, you can investigate an impressive collection of arts, arts books, and contempory exhibitions.
You will spend the first night in your glamping shelter by Fjaltring Guesthouse, Denmarks smallest and possibly most charming hostel. Situated in a beautiful landscape you have the view of the sea as well as Bovbjerg Lighthouse. In the comfortable glamping shelters you can enjoy a welldeserved night’s sleep, after a day full outddoor adventures. Moreover, you will have free access to our closed outdoor kitchen.
If you need to please your feet after a day’s hike you could also treat them to a soothing footbath.

DAY 2: FJALTRING - HARBOØRE
- Distance: 20 km (shortcutting down to 13 km is an option)
- Overnight stay: The Harboøre Centre
Departuring from Fjaltring, you will continue along the beautiful coastline to meet yet another day packed with outdoor adventures.
One given stop is Bovbjerg Lighthouse, standing majestically on the edge of the 41 meter tall Bovbjerg Cliff.
On the way you will pass interesting sites like Bovbjerg Minimuseum, Ferring Church, and Jens Søndergaard’s Museum. You will also reach Ferring Lake, a peaceful natural gem by which you will walk along the lake and the coast with a view to the summer residential area of Vejlby Klit.
After a hike of app. 13 km, you will reach Victoria Street Station (yep, no kidding). Here, you have two options:
Should you wish a different experience you may take the historical VLTJ-train taking you to the coastal town of Harboøre – a unique way of experiencing West Jutland.
Alternatively, you will keep making the most of your hiking boot and walk the remaining 7 km.
Your second overnight stay will take place in the Funpark by the Harboøre Centre, located in the middle of the town. Here, you will sleep in our glamping shelters placed in a quiet oasis in the middle of an otherwise activity packed area.
You have app. 250 meters to the free showers and toilets to which you gain access via a key provided at the time of check-in.
From your shelter you only have a short walk to the shops and restaurants in town. You may also enjoy a meal at the Centre’s cafe right next tot the shelters.

DAY 3: HARBOØRE - THYBORØN
- Distance: 13 km (optionally more)
- Overnight stay: Thyborøn Camping
After an good night’s sleep in Harboøre, you are prepared to investigate the adventures in Thyborøn or perhaps dash off to the picturesque harbour of Haarum for East of XXX bordering the protected wildlife area Haarum.
On the way towards Thyborøn you will experience a rich bird and wildlife. You will also pass the historical chemical waste site called Høfde 42, with its very own exciting past.
When approaching Thyborøn, you will see the rock with the inscription “VesterhavsCaminoen” by the end of the trail between Langerhuse and Thyborøn. This is an ideal spot for a break, enjoy the tranquil landscape, and maybe take a moment to reflect on the day’s hike.
Many hikers leave a small token here in terms of a stone on which they write a line or testimonial for the future hikers to read and enjoy.
Once you have arrived to Thyborøn there are several things to do: you can investigate the Snailhouse, the Sea War Museum, Jutland’s Aquarium, or Iskunsten, an ice arts center. If feeling adventurous you can take a ride on the iconic retro moped, Puch Maxi, or book a surfing session at Thyborøn Surfcenter.
Your hiking holiday terminates with an overnight stay in glamping shelters at Thyborøn Camping where you can enjoy the facilities and go for a swim in Wærket, the aqua land in Thyborøn – so don’t forget to bring your swimsuits!

DAY 4: THYBORØN - AGGER
- Distance: 13 km
- Pick-up: "Signalmasten" restaurant in Agger
On your last day of the hiking holiday, you will head towards the picturesque fishing village Agger in the southern corner of Thy. Here, you will go on an short ferry trip with Thyborøn-Agger by Thyborøn-Agger Ferry Crossing. The shuttle ferry takes app. 15 minutes so you can relax and enjoy the great view of Limfjorden (the fjord) from the sun deck of the ferry.
When you have arrived at Agger Tange, you can visit Svaneholmhus, the informationscentre marking the entry to Nationalpark Thy. Here, you can get insights into the unique nature of the area, the coastal lagoon, and the beach meadows rich on fauna and flora.
Next, you continue your hike through Nationalpark Thy which trail winds through dunes and beautiful landscapes on the way towards Agger. The hiking holiday terminates by the restaurant „Signalposten‟ where you may get yourself a welldeserved lunch while having your last break.
At 2:30 pm the bus will pick you up to take you back to Thorsminde. The shuttle takes app. 1h 30 minutes. Don’t forget to bring your own beverages for the drive to make it as pleasant as possible.
Transportation back to the point of departure
– Pick-up by minibus at „Signalmasten‟in Agger at 2:30 pm
– Estimated time of arrival back in Thorsminde at 4 pm.

SURFACE
On your first day you will primarily be walking on the beach while for the remaining days the surface will vary between STENMEL, gravelroad, trails with hard sand (especially around Ferring Lake), tarmac bikepaths, and the main trail (Rute 1) along the Westcoast.
FOOD ON THE HIKE
All meals are selfcatering (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) during your hiking holiday along the Westcoast. You have the option of purchasing breakfast, packed lunches, and dinner in the proximity of the shelters, which you can read about in our food guide.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
At the time of booking you will receive a booking confirmation by email from us. In this mail under "My booking" via the link you will find the most important documents of your hiking holiday. The documents are practical information, food guide, attraction guide, maps, and (if you have purchased this supplementarily) luggage transportation. The documents will be available to you no later than 3 weeks prior to departure.
